For over 30 years Maryann Rose has worked to perfect the art of creating
aromatherapy products from the world’s finest essential oils and organic
ingredients. These products, offered through her business - Hana Nai’a,
are used in some of the finest spas in Hawai’i and by discriminating people
throughout the world. Maryann’s products have always been an extension
of her personal mission to spread her love of the earth, to be its committed
steward and to responsibly share the spirit of its bounty.
Through an incredible story of good fortune, Maryann met and has been
embraced by an amazing Hawaiian family, who share the spirit of her
mission. They also extend her mission with the skills, commitment and
passion to reforest and sustainably harvest the great sandalwood forests of
the Hawaiian Islands. Their company, Haloa ‘Aina, has a primary
commitment to the ‘aina (the land). They use the benefits of its bounty to
contribute to a sustainable economy for the Hawaiian community. By
replanting the forest, responsibly and sustainably harvesting the
appropriate wood, naturally extracting the oil from the heartwood,
effectively using all of the wood by-products, selling its oil and products
throughout the world, their business model uses the proceeds to plant more
trees, invest in more land and provide wages for the effort. The Lee ohana
(family) aspires to create a sustainable economic model that enhances the
beauty, the community and the spirit of the Hawaiian Islands for
generations.
Maryann, through Hana Nai’a, has created a new line of products that
celebrate these two incredible stories. The Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood
Line represents products that combine her personal mission and include
high quality ingredients that are sustainably produced in the Hawaiian
Islands. Maryann believes in the Lee’s sustainable economic model for the
Hawaiian Islands. In contributing to the success of this combined mission,
100% of the profits from the Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood line will be
reinvested in the Hawaiian economy. The objective of Hana Nai’a’s Royal
Hawaiian Sandalwood line is to combine the best of Hawai’i, to create the
best for Hawai’i.
